#1 – Coronado Cays Park

Coronado Cays Park is a flat, grassy and spacious area that is ideal for sports and other activities. The park is huge and more suitable for athletic activities than picnics. There are virtually no trees but there is a playground on the southeast end. You can also play catch at the baseball diamond, or show your competitive edge at tennis courts on the north end.

#4 – Spreckels Park

Spreckels Park is maybe the most well-known park in Coronado, located in the center of our island. This beautiful park has a gorgeous gazebo which comes to life every Sunday in the summer during Concerts in the Park. The park is equipped with a great jungle gym where families and large groups often visit. Spreckels Park also hosts lots of Coronado community events such as the Coronado Flower Show & holiday celebrations for children.

#5 – Bay View Park

Bay View Park is a beautiful hidden gem on Coronado Island. It has one of the best views of the San Diego Skyline in the city, and yet this small pocket park is rarely visited by tourists. The view looks out across San Diego Bay from a gap between homes on the north side of the island. You can take the Coronado Ferry to get here, and it’s just a short walk west on 1st Street to I Avenue. There are benches provided that are in the shade of tall trees. Enjoy a coffee or lunch at the landing before heading over here!
